Silence. I just witnessed a leaf falling down from a beautiful fig tree. A banal occurrence yet so intense to me. I heard a little noise. I lifted up my chin. And I noticed the leaf graciously leaving the branch where she had spent the last six months. It lasted a few seconds. Not even the time to blink. And the leaf was laying on the ground. Lifeless. I stood still. Staring at the tall tree. Staring at the leaf on the cold street. Meaningful moments. How charming simplicity can be!
